The Franchise

If after The Odyssey you are like "damn I would like to see more Himesh Patel" (a thing, frankly, everyone should be saying), might I suggest the canceled-after-one-season-because-nobody-wants-marika-to-be-happy HBO show The Franchise.

It has an UNREASONABLY stacked cast: Himesh, Daniel Brühl playing a high concept director of a superhero franchise film (lol), LOLLY ADEFOPE for all my Shrill-heads, Billy Magnussen!!! for all my Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike heads, Isaac Powell <333*—and did I mention Richard E. Grant??

Armando Iannucci and Sam Mendes...a meeting of minds...At PEAK Superhero Movie Fatigue we let this flop when we needed it most, and I for one will never forgive us.

*I met Isaac in 2016 when he was the lead in a showcase reading of a new musical that I produced and I am soOooOoOOOOOooOOo proud of him. :')
