Willem Ragnarsson as portrayed by Luke Thompson in A Little Life the play

before we begin I just want to say I have never read the book and I know it is a DIVISIVE topic but I am here to talk specifically about Luke Thompson's portrayal of Willem in the 4 hour play I watched from stage seats in 2023 with virtually no prior knowledge of the story.

that's THEE boyfriend of all time!!! I remember Luke walked on stage during the pre-show in a black american apparel zip-up with the hood up and I was like well this is going to be a problem for me. just a beautifully tender character!! i loved him dearly!!! literally was sitting on stage mouth AGAPE in the last 15 minutes of the play. the fact I cannot force my friends to watch at LEAST a highlight reel of moments from the professionally filmed!!! version of this production is a CRIME. they'll never fully understand what I went through 😔
